Two-Way Voice Monitoring

HOW IT WORKS
  • The alarm system has a speaker and microphone that allow audio monitoring and hands-free communication throughout the premises with a Central Monitoring Operator – without the use of a telephone.
  • When your alarm is activated, Monitronics Central Monitoring Station receives the emergency signal and begins two-way communication.
  • The Operator will ask if you need help and request your pass code.
  • Either by listening in or speaking with someone at the premises, the Operator will determine if an emergency situation exists.
  • In the event of an actual emergency, the proper authorities will be dispatched to the premises.

TWO-WAY OFFERS GREAT BENEFITS
  • You maintain your privacy.  The Operator can listen in and communicate with you ONLY if your alarm has been activated.
  • The Operator can quickly identify and confirm the emergency, resulting in faster, higher priority response by the authorities.
  • False dispatches can become a thing of the past.  And, no longer do you have to wait for a phone call from the Central Monitoring Station when the alarm is falsely activated.
  • In an emergency situation, the Operator can provide continuous communication and relay any new information to the responding authority until they arrive at the premises.
  • When your system is in silent alarm mode, the Operator will only listen in and not speak so as to not panic an intruder.

Cellular Backup

HOW IT WORKS
  • At the customer’s premises, the AlarmNet-C radio cellular transceiver is hardwired to the control panel.
  • In the event of an alarm, the AlarmNet-C radio transmits a signal to the cellular network on its control channel.  The transmission is accomplished using the same technology that enables any cellular phone to make calls from outside their local areas.
  • The AlarmNet-C radio links to the control channel network as if it were a regular cell phone, but is capable of sending alarm data in place of the destination (called) number.

CELLULAR BACKUP OFFERS GREAT BENEFITS
  • Customers no longer need to have a landline (traditional) telephone in order to have a monitored security system.
  • If a customer’s telephone service is interrupted, the signal will still be sent to the central monitoring station, and the proper authorities will be contacted.
  • Low monthly cost for service.
